The Festival has been included into the third batch of national intangible heritages by the State Council of China. Forty students of Montargis Forest High School of France had a study tour in Beijing, Hunan, Hangzhou, and Shanghai from April 5 to April 22. The Xiangxiang 100 International Orienteering Race Series kicked off in Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie, on April 16, 2017.Nearly 900 orienteers from all over the world participated in the event.
