The 2018 China Hunan International Tourism Festival Press Conference was held on August 7 morning. It revealed that this year’s tourism festival will launch seven theme activities. The 2018 China (Liling) International Ceramics Industry Exposition will be held at the same time. A new combination pattern between ceramics and tourism will thus be created. The Hunan "Eight ‘Red’ (Revolutionary) Scenic Spots" selection opening ceremony was held in Changsha on August 13, 2018. The event aimed to further build quality Hunan ‘red tourism’ routes. It was hosted by the Hunan Tourism Development Commission and Hunan Daily Group, undertaken by the Voice of China Online (VOC), and supported by city (prefecture) tourism departments. A Boeing 747 freight plane carrying 100 tons of live lobster took off from Halifax, Canada at 9:38 on July 21st. After 17 hours’ journey, it arrived at the Huanghua International Airport in Changsha. It marks the official opening of the Changsha-North America regular continental cargo airline, the first of its kind in Hunan Province.Its flight route is Changsha - Chicago, USA - Halifax, Canada - Changsha, with a flight load of 100 tons.
