The 2011 China (Chenzhou) International Tourism and Culture Festival themed with "City in the Wood & City of Leisure" will kick off at Fushou Square of Longnv Scenic Spot, Beihu District of Chenzhou City on Oct. 18 and hold its concluding ceremony at Mangshan Mountain National Forest Park of Yizhang County on Oct. 25. According to Wulingyuan Tourism Bureau, a new scenic spot called “the Immortal Pine” was opened to the public from Sept. 22. The pine is located near the Pillar between Heaven and Earth that is the prototype of floating mountains in the movie Avatar. Liu Chenghao, a 79-year-old overseas Chinese from Britain, gave it the name of “Immortal Pine”, which was the first scenic spot named by an overseas tourist.
