Zhangjiajie Airport is situated in the south suburb of Zhangjiajie city, 40 km from Zhangjiajie scenic area. Nowadays, it is up to the state second-class airport standard, competent for taking-off and landing for medium airliners like Boeing 737, 738 and MD. So far, there are 16 air routes linking up Zhangjiajie and Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen, Xian, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Fuzhou, Chongqing, Changsha, etc. In 2011,Zhangjiajie Arial Port passed the inspection and acceptance organized by the General Administration of Customs in accordance with the requirements of the State Council.
