In addition, “Tujia niancai” refers to the main dishes presented on the eve of the spring festival, including Steamed Meat , Chicken Soup with Chestnuts, Tujia Hot Pot and Sauteed Preserved Fish. At that time, Tujia people will reflect on the past and pay tribute to their ancestors. Dishes are usually placed at the center of the table so that everyone around the table can share them. And a Tujia hot pot usually is the favorite of all family members.
