Day 1,Zhangjiajie-Furong Town-Fenghuang

In the morning around 8:30am,with your guide and dirver ,2-hour Drive to Furong (Hibiscus) Town from zhangjiajie city,Furong Town is originally named Wangcun. It is an ancient town where Tujiazu people live together. Then Drive 2.5hours get to Fenghuang Ancient city, enjoy the night view in fenghuang in the evening.

Furong Town have a history of about 2000 years, renowned for one of the 4 famous towns in Xiangxi. In old days, the king of Tujia people dwelted in there, thus it was named as Wangcun (Wang means the king inChina). An erstwhile popular film, Furong Town, was shot in Wang Villiage, hence it changed its name. Wang Villiage is famous for its ancient town like a minitature of Fenghuang and Tujia culture. With the improvement of transportation, more and more people come to visit it.

After breakfast and check out hotel,Visit and have a around Fenghuang Ancient city in the morning.then Transport to Dehang Ancient Miao Village and Aizhai Bridge,then Qianzhou Ancient Town in jishou city.and drive about 4 hours back to zhangjiajie city,and transfer to zhangjiajie airport for your flight. Aizhai Grand Suspension Bridge is a key project in the whole Jicha Highway program. With a main span of 1,176 meters and a subgrade width of 24.5 meters, this steel truss suspension bridge has the largest span in gorge throughout our country. The bridge is to be build in accordance with the highway standard of two lanes & four driveways, whose designed speed is 80 kilometers per hour As the bridge is located 335 meters over the Aizhai Town and the traffic below the bridge is heavy, it is proved that pulling the haulage cable by an airship would be the most convenient and safest way to start the project.

Dehang Scenic Area is meant by Miao language as “beautiful canyon”. Dehang Scenic Area is titled as natinal 4A-level senic spots. With road bridges, Miao villiage sights canyon secnery and Aizhai Bridge, Dehang scenic area is really worth visiting. It is a good choice to experience the culture and customs of Miao people and feel the mysterious of Xiangxi.

Qianzhou Ancient Town,Early in 4200 BC, Qianzhou Ancient Town was the capital city of Miao Territory. During the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty, the Monarchy would assign senior generals to guard the Qianzhou. As many years passed by, Qianzhou Ancient Town remains intact with ancient architectural complex, slates, old streets, river etc, making tourists enjoy themselves so much as to forget to leave.
