On February 19, literary and art workers from such departments as the Hunan Comedy Group and the Changsha Chinese Ballad Singers Association staged a charity show at Jiaoxiang, an ethnic stockade of Miao people, Dupo Village in Tongdao Autonomous County, treating the villagers with a cultural feast.
Performances by artists including Wang Li, a coloratura, were well received with resounding applauses from the audiences who crowded around the stage in spite of the cold weather.
