World Natural Heritage World Geopark The First National Forest Park of China
The photo above, taken on July 20, shows a winding village road in Kongshuyan Village, Shouyan Town, Daoxian County. It looks like a “giant dragon” wriggling among the green hills. In recent years, the county government has implemented an ecological development strategy. It prohibited lumbering, and promoted afforestation to ensure mountain greening. At present, the total volume of growing stock in the county is 6.129 million cubic meters, with a forest coverage rate of 62.7%. (Photo/Jiang Keqing and Tang Bojing)
