    On March 12, 2011 Hunan "No Fake Goods in Store" & the publicity and educational program of "Credible Hunan' was launched in Yueyang City. Liu Liwei, vice governor of Hunan Province attended the launching ceremony.  Yi Lianhong, Party chief of Yueyang City, and the chief of Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, Hunan Provincial Industrial and Commercial Bureau, Hunan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, Hunan Municipal Bureau of Price, Hunan Food and Drug Administration and Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League delivered speeches respectively. They promised to carry through the campaigns of cracking down on counterfeit goods & safeguarding legitimate rights and interests, and building a credibility-advocating Hunan, and create a social climate favorable for the construction of "Credible Hunan".  After the launching ceremony, a series of activities were staged including publicity and consultation of cracking down on counterfeit goods & safeguarding legitimate rights and interests, destroying fake and inferior products, signing for "Credible Hunan", home appliance going to the countryside.     Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel will have its grand opening on March 30, 2011.The 500-room hotel has been developed by Hunan Xiangtou Yangguang Group as a five star standard resort in Zhangjiajie. The hotel is situated in the new city’s core center, along the bank of the Lishui river. It is located only 15 minutes driving distance from the airport and from the downtown. The hotel has easy access to all scenic localities around the city.For meetings and events the hotel's conference, exhibition and banqueting areas cover a total of 2,800 square meters and are equipped with advanced facilities including a high-tech audio visual system.     Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang Applies to Be Adopted by World Intangible Cultural

    Tan Yan, deputy to the National People's Congress and director of Tourism Department of Yanling County, submitted Suggestions on Applying for Recognition of Memorial Ceremony for Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang as World Intangible Cultural Heritage, when attending the 4th Session of the 11th National People's Congress on March 9th.  According to Director Tan, the memorial ceremony for Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang was listed among the first batch of national intangible cultural heritages in 2006. In 2007, Yanling County and Huangling County established sister-county ties. The recognition of the memorial ceremony for Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang as world cultural heritage can promote traditional Chinese culture. As a responsible nation and country, China will make further contributions to the integration of world cultures.  She suggested that the application should be conducted in the name of the whole country. Relevant departments at national level should organize experts to make on-site investigations to mausoleums of Emperor Yan and Emperor Huang, and provide guidance to project construction and protection.     Zhangjiajie Arial Port passed the inspection and acceptance organized by the General Administration of Customs in accordance with the requirements of the State Council. The port is now privileged to accommodate even more international aircrafts, which  is of milestone significance.Approved by the State Council, the port was founded in 1997 and opened to Hong Kong and Macao in April, 1999.     The Hengyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League kicked off activities to protect the Xiangjiang River on March 5. More than 500 volunteer representatives of youth workers, farmers, students, entrepreneurs, technicians and armed police officers in the city made solemn commitments to protecting the mother river at the launching ceremony. Leaders and volunteers present at the ceremony drank water of the Xiangjiang River to call for all teenagers across the city to join in the campaign. Professor Lv Zhengping, chief education officer delivered a lecture on the theme of "Carrying forward water culture and protecting the mother river" at the ceremony.   The ceremony ended with the race along the Xiangjiang River themed with "Green travel with youth and vigor".  The pacemaker of the race will pass the environmental protection baton to the provincial capital city Changsha to meet batons from other cities and prefectures throughout the province. All of these batons will be preserved as commemorations.     The Launching Ceremony of Youths’ Commitment to Protecting the Xiangjiang River in Hunan Province was held at the Sculpture Square of Young Mao Zedong in Changsha’s Orange Islet Park on March 5, 2011.  Mei Kebao, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Xiao Yayu, vice director of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Wu Jihai, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended the launching ceremony.  Mei delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. He said that as the mother river of Hunan Province, the Xiangjiang River bears the essence of Hunan culture and embodies the boundless love of Hunanese. He called on the young people to fulfill their commitment and make contributions to developing the river into an Oriental Rhine and building a green Hunan.  The campaign will carry out three major kinds of work and ten theme activities. Six celebrities were invited to act as charity ambassadors, including Wang Han, a famous host of Hunan TV. Six groups made up of university students, elementary and middle school students, young entrepreneurs, young farmers, young workers, and young technical personnel made their solemn oath to protecting the Xiangjiang River.  In addition, a short message platform (10658688999) has been put into operation to inform over five million young people of the campaign.
