World Natural Heritage World Geopark The First National Forest Park of China
The 1st Hunan Tourism Investment Symposium was held in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie City on Oct. 23. Yang Guangrong, director of the Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau, Gao Dongshan, deputy director-general of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Hunan Province, as well as related persons in charge from 14 tourism bureaus at the city and prefecture level throughout Hunan and representatives of investors were present at the symposium. Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau Xiong Jian presided over the symposium.
Prof. Wang Yigao from the Hunan Academy of Science released a research report on tourism and recreation and pointed out that an international “era of recreation” is coming while the tourism is transforming from sightseeing-orientation to recreation and holiday-spending orientation nowadays. The report gave analysis on the leisure-tourist real estate development based on the changes in the cities of Dubai, Miami, Las Vegas, etc., and further forecasted the significant potential and prospect of Hunan’s tourism market.
Representatives from the enterprises such as Chengdu Zhixin Industrial Group and Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town Co., Ltd., based on their respective investment intentions, raised suggestions on Hunan’s tourism investment environment, tourism investment guide, project construction, investment strategies of enterprises, as well as the investment and development of new products and new type of operation.
