1、Tap the help of your kids
When they are old enough, your kids can help you pack for the trip. You can ask them to get the stuff that they want to bring and also their favorite toy to keep them entertained during the trip. You can get them a wheeled bag and tell them that they will also be responsible for their own luggage. You can also teach them early how to organize things for a trip.
2、Bring a lot of snacks
When you are hungry you tend to be cranky, so what do you expect more with the kids. Ask everyone joining the trip what they want to bring for snacks and drinks. You can ask them to bring something with them like peanuts, granola bars, or crackers in their carry on bag. When you buy snacks for the trip, it will be better to get individual packs rather than big packs so it can be easily distributed. If you are traveling on the road, bring a cooler and stock it with a lot of drinks.
3、Bring a first aid kid
Always make sure you have your own quick health aid kid when you travel. Just bring the common stuff like adhesive bandages, antiseptic wash, thermometer, gauze pads, tape, insect repellant, common over the counter drugs, antibiotic ointment, and hyrdrocortisone cream.
