World Natural Heritage World Geopark The First National Forest Park of China
ZJJ Badagongshan Mountain, located in the northwest of Sangzhi County, Zhangjiajie City, 140km away from Zhangjiajie City and 89 km from Sangzhi Town, is the greatst recovered primitive forest in the back-land of Asia with over 3,000 plant species and over hundreds of animal species well preserved here. What most attract tourists yearning for this land are exploration resources which can not be duplicated. Next, please follow me to experience three classical exploration attractions.
The first amazing sight is Seven Rock and Baizhang Waterfall which is hung on the valley cliff. There are three waterfalls which are as high as hundreds of meters. Violent flows fly down along valleys, striking on rock with thundering sound. When flows dropping down to the third-level waterfall, silver waterfall is set apart like flying white silk and satin after coiling along seven pinnacled cyan rocks.
After enjoy of splendid and thrilling waterfall, let’s have a peaceful mood to appreciate the Fairy Pool. Situated in the deep place of Tianping Mountain, the pool is formed owing to strike of waterfall as high as over three hundred meters. According to the legend, seven fairy ladies ever took bath in this pool. Around the pool, vines wine along and lobster flowers bloom with delicate fragrance. Thus, it is also called Fragrant Pool.
Now, let’s visit CowHeadMountain. It is named this name just because its appearance looks like the head of cow. Its altitude is as high as 1,300m. The best time to enjoy the scenery is just at the stop of heavy rain. At this time, cloud and mist, covering mountains and forest, is as fierce as sea weaves. The sun penetrates through the cloud sea and sprays down countless bundles of gold light. Then, cloud and mist is paint by colorful light. Standing on the top of this mountain, you will feel like riding on clouds just like a fairy.
